The mission of the West Central Indiana Amateur Radio Network is to support and promote amateur radio and GMRS by providing reliable, wide-area communications coverage while fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for operators of all experience levels. We are committed to emergency preparedness, community involvement, and cooperation with local partners, while offering accessible repeater systems, regular nets, and hands-on opportunities that help newly licensed operators gain confidence, knowledge, and on-air experience. Through revitalizing underutilized repeater systems and building an engaged, service-minded community, we aim to strengthen today’s amateur radio operators and inspire the next generation—ensuring amateur radio remains a vital, resilient, and thriving resource for both everyday enjoyment and times of need.
